Quote from ussbeethoven :Actualy my experience on CTRA 1 is not that bad. Of course they are a few people passing with crowbar and bump&run style plus others not paying much attention on using their look buttons, but in general I'd some suprisingly fair and clean battles with drivers giving enough room, aware of their surrounding, avoiding contact and typing an apology for accidents even after race.

I'd second that. CTRA 1 is a good server, I was quite annoyed at first, but with time, the understanding of the need of a certain mindset is needed to race there good. Its a entry level server, and you know what are you dealing with, never expect a driving skill magic from anyone there, and don't rush into group of cars...just being calm and consistent, avoiding crashes etc. in 90% of races means finishing in 1st 8 of racers.

Quote from evilpimp :I think that would be double declutching rather then normal heel-n-toe.

Heel n toe is just hit the brakes, disengage the clutch, blip the throttle and downshift, and ur goooood to go. just press that throttle whenever you have to go again.

agreed. Double declutching with heel toe isn't really needed (especially in LFS) as its mainly used to save up synchronisers, which are quite strong in modern cars...

I'd say its not only bad luck but also a lack of experience and knowledge of how to act in such situations...I haven't had much problems at T1s after I understood that there is no sense to rush in T1, you should let a "fighting" car infront or you both gonna end in the wall etc. Practice is the key

I always thought that disabling the Logitech profiler stopped the DFP from working; but I'll find out...

Don't think so...The only extra thing that Profiler can do compared to Controller's settings is mainly putting scripts and combos on buttons and diffirent game profiles (which never worked for me. doh?) so I never used it...

Just try running without Profiler...

DFP works on PS2 without any software so I don't think it will be hard for it to work on PC without help of mightly Profiler
Camber diffirences in cars between X and Y patches

I have searched in here but had no luck so I decided to make my own research about the diffirences in default camber values between X and Y patches...

Test conditions:

I used hard track set with 0*/0* camber on both ends in every car to see the diffirence. Values of live camber were taken from the setup screen without fuel and the driver

So here is the results:

Patch X

Cars: (Rear | Front)

UF1000
-0.08 / + 0.08 | -1.14 / -1.04 (Patch Y - no changes)

XFG

-0.05 / +0.05 | -1.58 / -1.50 (Patch Y - no changes)

XRG

-0.45 / -0.39 | -1.23 / -1.16 (Patch Y - no changes)

XRT

-0.43 / -0.36 | -1.24 / -1.18 (Patch Y - no changes)

FXO

-0.04 / +0.04 | -0.98 / -0.92 (Patch Y - no changes)

RB4

-1.05 / -1.00 | -0.78 / -0.73 (Patch Y - no changes)

LX4

-0.36 / -0.30 | -0.83 / -0.76 Patch Y - (no changes)

LX6

-0.10 / -0.07 | -1.03 / -0.98 (Patch Y - no changes)

RAC

-1.52 / -1.49 | -1.10 / -1.08 (Patch Y - no changes)

FZ50

-0.90 / -0.86 | -0.63 / -0.58 (Patch Y - no changes)

UFR

-0.01 / +0.01 | -0.83 / -0.82 (Patch Y - no changes)

XFR

-0.01 / +0.01 | -1.64 / -1.62 (Patch Y - no changes)

MRT

-0.43 / -0.43 | -0.71 / -0.71 (Patch Y - no changes)

FZR

-1.16 / -1.14 | -1.62 / -1.60 (Patch Y - no changes)

XRR

-0.94 / -0.92 | -0.94 / -0.92 (Patch Y - no changes)

FXR

-0.92 / -0.91 | -0.58 / -0.56 (Patch Y - No changes)

And finally something interesting:

FOX

-1.16 / -1.16 | -2.44 / -2.44 Patch Y: -1.94 / -1.94 | -2.90 / -2.90

FO8

-0.58 / -0.58 | -2.10 / -2.10 Patch Y: -1.54 / -1.54 | -3.01 / -3.01

BF1

-0.63 / -0.63 | -2.70 / -2.70 Patch Y: -1.27 / -1.27 | -2.89 / -2.89

So the results say that camber is changed only in Single seaters...

For FOX its -0.78/-0.46 diffirence in camber, -0.96/-0.91 for FO8 and -0.64/-0.19 for BF1.

I hope this information will help for those who are tweaking their old sets and have troubles with camber settings...

no

I guess the problem is the Profiler. I never used Profiler and I use 3 controllers at the same time just fine (FF EX + Formula GP (used as clutch pedal) and Logitech Attack 3 Joystick (not really using it in LFS, just on other games))

Quote from Batterypark :Um, you must mean FXR? I've never used a shifter myself, but doesn't sound belieavable they'd do it to the FXO.

FXO has H-pattern gearbox. FXR has a sequental gearbox with ignition cut

Ok, it got worse, now the pedal doesn't respond in combined mode whatever I do. It does works in separete mode, but the axis is upside down (fixable in LFS, not a big problem) and the axis spikes quite badly.

Any help?

Why are so scared of spywares? There are zillions of them on all computers and they make very small harm most of times. Viruses on the other hand can do a lot more shit with your PC...

Didn't want to start a new thread so I guess thats quite a good place to post.

I have some small but annoying problems with my pedals (Old Formula GP pedal set used as a clutch pedal). They had a hard life and now pedal has a working range from about 60-75% of range(when in Combined mode, in separete - the axis is read upside down and still has a small working range left). I tuned it with DXTweak so it works ok, but there is one thing that bothers me. When I start up PC, the pedal is kind of frozen in game controllers... Using DXTweak I can still see that the input from the pedal is still read, but its not shown on the end (read - not responding).

The thing that fixes it is re-plugging the pedals. And since the USB plug is on the back of the PC deep under the table (the USB plug on the front don't "fix" the problem somehow) its quite a hard operation. Is there any way to stop myself from hitting the desk with my head on my way back from out of the table everytime I wanna play?

That application you used was SlickMod, it allows to equip any tyres on any cars...

Sadly it hasn't been updated since then...

(kerb feedback, hint hint please

In LFS FFB transfers forces that act on the steering column only, as it is in real life. Maybe in Race/Rfactor it is a nice effect, but its only an effect.

They are balanced. Just like Jatko said about Baby-r. UFR is faster on tighter tracks, slower on straighter ones...

Quote from hiroshima guy :Yep but, one thing... No permission from my parents! They won't even be thinking of the Internet, what they think is Internet is insecure, lots of scams and so on...Plus my dad isn't keen on sending money order to other countries without being acknowledgable about LFS.

Bank money transfer:

You fill out the form on the site, then print the payment number code and other stuff, go with money and that paper with info and pay it in the bank... Thats how it works with Skype. Dunno about LFS tho...
